River of God Paddling

River of God Paddling is a ministry of Madison Ave. Crossroads Community Ministries which is the outreach and service arm of Madison Ave. Christian Reformed Church. It is devoted to helping men, women and young people

  • Experience and get to know God through the beauty of creation that surrounds the city of Paterson

  • Develop an appreciation for God’s creation and learn how to care for it

  • Understand the history and importance of the Passaic River and the wildlife that is part of it.

  • Learn life skills, values & teamwork through paddling and working together

  • Have a great time paddling local rivers, lakes & reservoirs

Pastor John A. Algera is the director of this ministry and along with trained teen river guides  lead your children or group for an adventure on the Passaic River.  In addition to Kayak Kamp and Summer Paddling for youth they are available to take your family, church, business or non-profit group out on the Passaic River in canoes or kayaks.  Groups up to 10 can chose from a variety of experiences and lengths of time.  The cost of this is paid directly to Madison Ave. Crossroads Community Ministries.
